1.  Do you type on a keyboard the correct way or do you peck like a cute little chick?
I type correctly.  Interestingly, I never officially learned to type until I was in college.  Now, though, my whole career is typing.  I am a medical transcriptionist.  I type for 4 hours straight (almost), 5 days a week.  And, I type very fast...about 90 to 100 words a minute.  So, no pecking, but I'm still a cute little chick.  =)
2.  Typically, how long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
This is assuming I get ready at all beyond getting dressed.  It usually takes me at least 30 minutes to get myself actually up and moving.  I can get out of bed and give my girls breakfast, but then I have to allow myself some time to wake up.  If I do get ready, since I don't usually wear makeup, it takes about 20 minutes (that's with a shower).  Add 10 minutes on a makeup day.
3.  Do you prefer lip gloss or lipstick?
Lip gloss.  It tastes better, usually glitters a little, and isn't as dry and sticky.  
4.  Do you take clothes to the dry cleaner or wash them yourself, even if they say dry clean only?
I try to avoid buying "dry clean only" clothes.  But, especially now that the closest dry cleaner is pretty far away, I wash it on a gentle cycle and hang it to dry.  
5.  Do you prefer Walmart or Target?
Target has cuter things.  I don't mind Walmart, but Target just makes me feel happier.

1.  Do you like the season Fall?

Yes.  But I like pretty much all the seasons.  Fall gets me all excited for the Holidays.

2.  What is your favorite Fall smell?

Hmmmm.  I'd have to say cinnamon and apples and pumpkin pie.

3.  What is your favorite activity to do in the fall?

Bake pumpkins to freeze for the year, trick or treat, play outside when it isn't too cold yet, wear sweaters. 

4.  Do you dress in fall colors during the season?

I'm not really a fashion literate type of person.  I love fall colors, but I don't consciously wear them during the right time of year.

  1.  Do you sleep with TV or music on?No.  I find them too distracting.  The TV is usually something interesting I want to see and the music is something I want to sing or dance to.  The only exception is when my daughter watches Tinkerbell during quiet time.  That puts me to sleep pretty quickly. 2.  What is your favorite technology device that you own?I love technology...(If that makes you think of the same movie as me, we will be friends forever!) I would have to say my iPod Touch.  I love it greatly. 3.  Do you shop the ads for groceries?No.  We don't really get ads for groceries so I don't have to opportunity.  Even if I did, I don't know that I would, though. 4.  What are your favorite pair of shoes?My red high heels.  They make my legs look pretty awesome.  Also, everyone needs a good pair of red shoes.  I am also very fond of my flip flops. 5.  Have you done any fun fall activities yet?Not yet.  I'm not sure if we will have time to this year either, not counting any crafts or decorating or cooking we might do.

What is your zodiac sign?
I am a Virgo.  I don't really know anything more than that.  I have no idea what characteristics a Virgo has or if I have them.
Name 3 things that are always in your purse besides your wallet.
I usually have a book, especially if am going grocery shopping alone; my iPod, again if I am shopping alone; and at least 5 pens (I have no idea how they get in there!).
Which magazines do you look at most?
Family Fun is definitely my favorite.  I also love Taste of Home or any other recipe magazine.  The only other magazines I read are my Church magazines, the Ensign and the Friend.
Do you pluck or get your eyebrows waxed?
Um...I don't do much of either.  Every once in a while, if I'm feeling ambitious or, I don't know, bored, I'll pluck a few.  When I do, I always feel like I should do it more often, but I don't.  I did get my eyebrows waxed once, and I loved the results, but I've never had it done again.
How often do you go grocery shopping?
I go twice a month, always on a Saturday.  It is, very often, my alone time.  Mister takes the girls and I take the morning to listen to my music while I shop.  I usually get Taco Bell and a Fruitista Freeze that I eat in my car while I read my book before I go in to the store.  It's the little things, you know.  =)

Hoo Are You #55

1.  What are your favorite 3 things about fall?
First, while I don't particularly enjoy being cold, I still like the cooler air, especially here where it is hot and humid all summer long.  And, I love the excuse to start pulling out the hot chocolate or apple cider.
Second, I love Fall colors.  Nature puts on a little show before she goes to sleep and I enjoy watching it.
Lastly, it is the start of the holidays, a party until the end of the year.  I love the decorating, the food, the gifting, the parties...all of it.


2.  Are you a football fan and if so who is your favorite team?
No, I'm not really a fan.  I barely understand football.  I did enjoy going to games in high school because it was exciting even if I didn't know why.  And, I had a really good friend who would patiently say to me either "That was good." or "That was bad" and then he would explain why again.

Also, after high school, my friends started a football pool where we would pick teams to win throughout the season and win prizes.  I actually did pretty good and I was just picking teams based on which of the two cities I would rather go to!  =)


3.  What is your favorite fall scent?
Mmmmm....apples, cinnamon, pumpkin, and that cool, crisp smell in the air.

4.  Do you have seasonal allergies?
I don't know if you could call my allergies seasonal.  Ever since we moved to West Virginia, my allergies have taken a turn I didn't know was possible, even causing some asthma.  They are almost always bad and, yes, right now they are particularly bad.


5.  Have you started Christmas shopping yet?
No, but I have started putting ideas together.  I don't really do a lot of shopping anyway.  I try to make most of my Christmas presents.

Here are my answers to this week's questions!

1.  Do you prefer sweet or salty foods?
My instinct is to say that I prefer sweet food, but I have to say that I like a good combination of both...like chocolate covered pretzels, soft caramel corn, peanut M&Ms...mmmmmmmmmmmm.


2.  Name your 3 BEST personality traits.
a.  I am pretty good at laughing at myself.  I laugh at my own jokes all the time.
b.  I am a very loyal friend.
c.  I am an optimist.


3.  Name your 3 WORST personality traits.
a.  I procrastinate much too much.
b.  I just might be a little too stubborn.
c.  I have a very hard time with change, and that includes when my schedule or routine has to change.


4.  Do you collect anything?
I collect Disney, specifically Happy Meal toys.  I haven't collected any in a while, though.


5.  What is your favorite season of the year?
Hmmmm....Spring is so nice when all the flowers start to bloom and the whether starts to warm up.  The air is always happy in Spring.  But, I also love Summer and the warm nights and the sunshine and the fireflies and playing in the pool.  But, Fall brings pumpkins and that yummy crispness in the air that invites sweaters and warm socks and Winter has Christmas and sledding and hot chocolate.  


I guess I like them all!

1.  What are some of your pet peeves?

Milk that is left out, loud chewing...um...I can't think of any other than that.  I'm not a very picky person.

2.  Do you have a favorite or lucky number?

I have always liked the number 14.  There is no good reason for that.  It's just a pretty number.

3.  What is one of your family traditions?

Something my husband and I have just started recently is to have a First Day of Spring party.  We have good food and decorate the house to welcome spring.

4.  Is there anything you are OC about?

Haha!  There are plenty of things I am OC about.  I really like plan out my schedule (hour by hour).  Before I fall asleep, the blankets have to be just right and my hands can't be covered up.  I try to be very organized, but that is mostly in my head.

5.  What is your favorite kind of food?

Easy...chocolate!  Brownies especially.
